I’m excited to report that I’m now the AZ Chapter Leader for the National Stepfamily Day Foundation. I’ll be the liaison and contact person for the media here, and for an event to celebrate and recognize stepfamilies (National Stepfamily Day is September 16 – we’ll plan an event for the following weekend).

On Stepfamily Day, Sept 16, I’ll be training a group of therapists to work with adolescents who have been through their parents’ divorce, and trace their needs as they enter a stepfamily situation. My workshop is entitled “Mine Your Ours: From Divorce to a Healthy Stepfamily”. Perfect timing for Stepfamily Day!

The video is now sitting on President Obama’s desk – we’re hoping that he’ll sign the Proclamation for National Stepfamily Day once he sees it. Here’s the link:
